Michael Louis Hass
April 16, 2026
Michael Louis Haas passed away on April 8, 2026, in Dill City, OK. He was born December 29, 1956, to Louis F. Haas and Bonnie M. (Burch) Haas, in Fort Cobb, OK.
He grew up in Carnegie, where he attended school before graduating from Mountain View High School in 1975. After high school, Michael went on to study electronics at Sayre Junior College. Michael had a lifelong passion for electronics. Whether it was a television, an old radio, or just about anything with wires and circuits, he enjoyed taking things apart, figuring them out, and bringing them back to life. He turned that passion into his work, owning and operating Mike’s TV Repair before later spending many years at Terry’s TV and Appliance, where his knowledge and steady dedication made him someone people trusted. He met and married Ellen, and to this union were born two children, Andy and Kristi. Though Michael and Ellen later divorced, his role as a father remained an important part of his life.
Outside of work, Michael found joy in the outdoors. He loved gardening, spending time with nature, and appreciating the quiet rhythms of life. He also had a special interest in old radios and the space program.
Michael was a believer in God and a man of deep personal faith. He read his Bible twice a day, something that grounded him and guided how he lived his life.
He’ll be remembered as someone genuine and steady, with a thoughtful mind and a quiet way of caring. He was the kind of person who didn’t need to say much to leave an impression. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
Survivors include his children: Andy Haas, Clinton, OK and Kristi Haas, Clinton, OK, Siblings: Sue Yearwood and husband, Max, Eakly, OK, Robert Earp and wife, Emma, Weatherford, OK, Linda Kazen, West Plains, MO, Susie Carli, Dill City, OK, Margie James, Dill City, OK, Larry Haas and wife, Linda, Weatherford, OK, and host of other family and friends.
