Marcella Kay Sheperd

Marcella Kay Sheperd, of Mountain View, OK, passed away on July 20, 2023, in Oklahoma City, OK. Marcy was born on August 30, 1949, to George and Jewell (Owens) Sheperd, in Cordell, Oklahoma. Marcy worked as a disaster inspector for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. She had two children, Dee and Dalawna. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, listening to country music, and being with her family. Marcy was strong-willed and obstinate. She always showed her unwavering love and support. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son, Dee Sheperd, Mountain View, OK; daughter, Dalawna Bigger, Lawton, OK; grandchildren: Baylee McBride and husband, Nacona; Clayton Weatherly and wife, Christie; Paige Bigger; Kydd Bigger; great-grandchildren: Annabelle Mcbride and Memphis McBride, as well as a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Jewell Sheperd; brothers, Melvin Sheperd and Joe Sheperd; and sister, Mildred Hawkins.

A Memorial Service was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Ray and Martha’s Funeral Home in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Services were under the direction of Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home, Mountain View, Oklahoma.
