Lana Janine Spottedhorse

Funeral service for Lana Janine Spottedhorse, 55, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, will be at 10 a.m., August 26, at Rainy Mountain Kiowa Indian Baptist Church, with David Geimausaddle officiating.

Lana Spottedhorse passed away on Friday, August 11, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born September 12, 1967, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Cornelius Spottedhorse and Marilyn Mae Spottedhorse. She was raised in Mountain View by her mother and father.

She graduated from Mountain View High School in 1985 and attended Cameron University for a short time after graduation. She later attended the Caddo Kiowa Technology Center for medical transcription. Her latest employment was administrative assistant at OKC Compassion where she worked with the homeless and those in recovery. She loved spending time with family and friends, listening to music, spending time with her dog and coloring in one of her many mandalas coloring books.

She is survived by her children: Adam Spottedhorse, Duncan; Mark Zachary Bearden, Oklahoma City; Ryan Cost, Oklahoma City; her sister, Lori Spottedhorse, Lawton; her brothers, Neil Spottedhorse, Mountain View; Gary Spottedhorse and wife, Rebecca, Lawton; Richard Spottedhorse, Mountain View, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Donna Spottedhorse; her brothers, Myles Spottedhorse and Glen Spottedhorse; nephew, Jason Spottedhorse; niece, Jillian Randolph.

Pallbearers were Adam Spottedhorse, Mark Zachary Bearden, Ryan Cost, Nathaniel Bearbow, Jonathan Bearbow, Jahlil Love. Honorary pallbearers were Neil Spottedhorse, Gary Spottedhorse and Richard Spottedhorse

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Rainy Mountain Kiowa Indian Baptist Church in Mountain View, OK, Interment followed in the Rainy Mountain Cemetery in Mountain View, OK.

Services were under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK.
