Charles Wade ‘Charley D’ Domebo
Charles Wade “Charley D” Domebo was born May 18, 1938, to Harry and Anna Kaulaity Domebo. He was raised in Stecker and Lawton, Oklahoma. He joined the Navy in 1955 at the age of 17. He achieved the rank of Seaman E3. Charles was a Veteran of a Foreign War serving in Egypt during the Suez Crisis. His most memorable times of his life included serving in the Navy. He was an avid domino player in which he played numerous times in Carnegie, OK at the World Championship. Charles loved old movies and sports. His favorite teams were Chicago Bears (No. 51 Dick Butkus), Cincinnati Reds and the Oklahoma Sooners. Most of all, Charley loved his family and was so proud of all of them. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Charles is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Wise and grandchildren: ‘Tasha Mousseau, Janette Smith, Victor Safford and Frances Wise; and great-grandchildren: Isabella Fridia and Kennedy Fridia, as well as a host of other family and friends
Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Vernon Joe.; five sisters: Lillian (Ears), Veronica (Wacca), Harriet Ann ( Tiny) Mary Alice (Sweetie) and Dorothy (Etha); two sons, David Wise and Keith Domebo and a daughter, Karen Jo Wise. He was also preceded in death by his mother and father, his grandparents, Andrew and Ella Dautobi Domebo and Henry and Leda (Mary) Togomote Kaulaity.
Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m. on February 22, 2024 at Ware’s Chapel in Anadarko, OK.
Visitation was from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Ray and Martha’s Funeral Home in Carnegie. OK.
Interment was at the Cedar Creek Cemetery in Carnegie, OK Carnegie, OK
Services were under the direction of Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK.
