Evelyn was a gifted musician who played piano and organ for many years at her beloved Swan Lake Baptist Church, where she was the longest continuous member. She was also a talented seamstress and quilter, and had a green thumb. Evelyn cooked thousands of meals for wheat harvest, was a substitute mom to many hired hands in the summers, loved to play cards, have pool parties for the kids, loved making friends, and enjoyed her trips with her family and friends. She was a good sport and went camping with the Shaws and horseback riding with her brothers, because she liked for everyone to go and have fun. Evelyn was especially fond of chocolate turtle candies, Dr. Pepper, and was a tender-hearted animal lover. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She loved her children, adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of her many nieces and nephews, and her church family. Evelyn will be missed by all those who loved her in return.
