Richard Stanley Yeahquo

Richard Stanley Yeahquo was welcomed into the arms of his savior on July 4, 2024. He was born in Lawton Oklahoma, on September 1, 1956, to Marion Yeahquo and Juanita Doyeto.

Richard graduated from Carnegie High School in 1974 before pursuing a Bachelor's degree in history from Cameron University. After finishing his degree, Richard dedicated four years to serving his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1980 to 1984. Following his military service, Richard embarked on a 21-year career as a correctional officer. He worked in several towns during his career, including Hominy, Lawton and Vinita. After retirement, Richard enjoyed a quiet life and filled his days by spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors Include his son, Jason Yeahquo and wife Sara, Carnegie OK; daughter, Catherine (Angel) Yeahquo, Cache OK; grandsons: Jimi Jayson Tahdooahnippah, Cache OK and Zane Tahdooahnippah, Cache OK. He is also survived by his brothers: Charles Yeahquo and wife Tomah, Apache OK, Mike Yeahquo and wife Linda, Denton TX; sister, Paula Horse and husband Billy, Carnegie OK; nephews: Wesley Randolph, Carnegie OK, Steven Yeahquo, Denton TX, Mark Yeahquo, Apache OK, Jim-Earl Yeahquo, Apache OK, and niece: Jana Yeahquo, Oklahoma City OK.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Marion Yeahquo and Juanita Doyeto; sister, Pamela Yeahquo; nieces: Bessie Lee Wolfe and Martha Yeahquo; and grandson, Joseph Kane Satepeahtaw

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Cedar Creek United Methodist Church, Carnegie, OK. A Wake was held at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 12 at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK.

Interment was in the Old Rainy Mountain Tribal Cemetery in Mountain View, OK.

Services were under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, OK.
