Melba Jean (Reynolds) Passmore

Melba Jean (Reynolds) Passmore, 91, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2024. She was born on July 21,1932, to Huey and Lydia (Sikes) Reynolds in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Melba grew up and attended school in Carnegie, graduating from Carnegie High School in 1949. Melba worked in the Caddo County Assessor Office for over 30 years. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dale Reynolds

Survivors include son, Loran Douglas Passmore and wife, Beverly, of Lawton, OK; daughters, Jo Linda Wallace and husband, Steve, of The Woodlands, TX; Debbie Daniels and husband, Robert, of Edmond, OK; Deedra Barnes and husband, Michael, of Tulsa, OK; 10 grandchildren: Matt Passmore and wife, Lisa, of Fort Smith, AR; Brad Passmore and wife, Allee, of Lawton, OK; Tally Passmore, of Altus, OK; Brandon Wallace and wife, Gabriel, of Spring, TX; Blaine Wallace, of Houston, TX, Amanda Posey and husband, James, of Corinth, TX; Amber Woodward and husband, Ben, of Keller, TX; Brooks Barnes, of Tulsa, OK; Britton Barnes, of Tulsa, OK; Barkley Barnes, of Tulsa, OK; 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister: Donna Vawter, of Anaheim, CA; a sister-in-law, Pat Reynolds, of Tulsa, OK, as well as by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

A Celebration of life was held at 1 p.m. on August 3, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church in Anadarko, OK. Inurnment was in the Carnegie Cemetery in Carnegie, OK.

Services were under the direction of Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home in Anadarko, OK.
