Jerry Ray Garcia

Jerry Ray Garcia passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2024, in Elk City, OK. Born on September 30, 1994, to Ramon and Trina (Methvin) Garcia in Clinton, OK, Jerry grew up and went to school in Burns Flat, OK. Jerry worked at Janice’s Cafe in Elk City. He was a gentle soul who loved to listen to music, draw, and take long, thoughtful walks. But above all, there was nothing Jerry loved more than spending time with his family. Jerry had a heart of gold, always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word. His laughter was infectious, and his smile could light up any room. He was a loving son, a caring brother, and a true friend to many. Family meant the world to Jerry. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his sisters: Christina Garcia, Elk City, OK and Teresa Garcia, Ardmore, OK; nephew, Eli Garcia, Sayre, OK, nieces, Nicole Garcia, Hobart, OK, Naomi Washington, Hobart, OK and Nayana Washington, Hobart, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Trina Garcia; nephew, Ramon Otto Garcia, and a niece, Royalty Jo Benavidez.

Funeral service were held at 1 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2024, at Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK.

Interment was in the Saddle Mountain Cemetery, Mountain View, OK.

Services were under the direction of Ray and Martha’s Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK.
