Francella Ann Ware

Francella Ann Ware, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 15, 2024, in Anadarko, OK. She was born on April 24, 1937, to Wilson Mauchahty and Pearl Pewo Ware, at their home outside of Apache, OK. She grew up and attended school at Broxton and Fort Sill Indian School. Frankie met and married the love of her life, Buzz Carter. Together they made their home in Fort Cobb - Broxton , raising their children. She taught Native American education and arts and crafts at the Fort Cobb and Elgin schools. Frankie was very artistic. She enjoyed beadworking, making pow wow dresses, moccasins, dancing and singing. Frankie will be remembered for her infectious laughter and smile. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children: Lenora Parton, Laurie Carter, Paul Fultz, Janel Ware, Sonya Bartlett, Deloris Woosypitti, Bambi Allen and Andy, Tommy Shaw and Deandra, Eddie Two Clouds and Cindy, Adam Gainey and Monique, and Marvin Delaware & Tamra. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Haley, Miko Nix and Jessica, Benni Daughtery and Conner, Kristin Allen and Anthony, Sam Schultz and William, Kaci Allen, Aaron Allen, Summer Shaw, Esteven Shaw, Peanut Bartlett, Tyson Zermeno, Adams Zermeno, Thomas Zermeno, Aspen Zermeno, Jo-Jo Shaw, Cora Gainey and Luca Gainey, Jessica Woosypitti, Christian Woosypitti, Joshua Woosypitti, Jalana Woosypitti Chalepah, Julian Woosypitti; great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Ethan, Ryan Swift, Jr., Skylar, Maelen, Phillip, Tobin, Harper, Sadie, Samuel, Kensi, Luci, Rosealia, Iskander, Alistair, Ella, Corbin, Kayleigh, Tyler, Connor, Trenton, Aubrey, Leo and Henry, Abraham Conklin, Geremiah Woosypitti, Eli Talton, Timothy Talton, Maliyah Woosypitti, Jeffery Hardy, Jildan Reynolds, Joaquin Davis, Dyson Davis, Julian Woosypitti II, Jezekiah Woosypitti, and Laylan Woosypitti; and her siblings: Clarissa Ware-Shaw, Larry Cole, Millard Clark and Dusty Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents. Wilson Mauchahty and Pearl Pewo Warel; Virgil Swift, Don Oyebi, Bo Carter, Lisa Longhat, Bobbi Carter and David Hawks; siblings: Bill, Truman, Marie, Tatoe, & Tom Ware; grandson: Ryan Jon Swift; great-grandson: Varic Daugherty; niece: Tonya Shaw; and nephews: T L Baker and Thomas Ware III

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Grace Christian Fellowship in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Visitation was from 1-8 p.m., Sunday, August 18, 2024, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2024, at Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

A Wake was held at 6 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2024, at Ware’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

Interment was in the Ware’s Cemetery in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

Services were under the direction of Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home, Anadarko, Oklahoma.
