Francisco Javier Salazar Alvarez

Francisco Javier Salazar Alvarez, passed away peacefully at his home on September 8, 2024, in Carnegie, OK. He was born on December 3, 1951, to Eugenio and Benita (Alvarez) Salazar, in Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico. He met and married the love of his life, Mary, on July 5, 1978, in Vernon, TX. Together they made their home in Carnegie, raising their children. Francisco was hard-working and dedicated. He spent 38-plus years working for the Farmers Co-op. Through the years he enjoyed fishing, working in his yard, family gatherings and spending time with his wife and grandchildren. Francisco was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor and always had a story to tell. He was generous, loyal and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all his life experiences. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. 
Survivors include his wife, Mary Salazar, Carnegie, OK; children: Gerardo Salazar and wife, Belen, El Reno, OK, Arturo Salazar, El Reno, OK, Samuel Salazar and wife, Christina, Clinton, OK, Rebecca Bush and husband, Kaleb, Carnegie, OK, Javier Salazar, Jr., Carnegie, OK and Emma Salazar and husband, Bradley York, Carnegie, OK. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren: Karina, Ximena, Eugenio, Tristan, Erick, Alyssia, Cameron, Isabel, Kaleb Jr., Drake, Gabriel, Elijah, Zayden, Emilia (Millie), and Zaylee, and one great-grandchild, Issac Botone. 
He was preceded to heaven by his parents Eugenio and Benita (Alvarez) Salazar; a baby, Samuel Salazar; brothers: Cirilo Salazar, Matias Salazar, Leoncio Salazar; and sisters: Juana Salazar and Reyes Salazar.
Funeral service are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, September 13, 2024, at St. Richard Catholic Church, Carnegie, OK. Visitation is from 1-8 p.m., Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Ray & Martha’s Funeral, Carnegie, OK.
Interment will be in the Carnegie Cemetery, Carnegie, OK.
Services are under the direction of Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK.
