Jerri “Twinkie” LeAnn Huerta, passed away surrounded by her family on September 30, 2024, in Lawton, OK.
She was born on March 14, 1988, to Buddy Evans Huerta, Sr. and Chili Girl Ybarra, in Lawton, OK. She grew up in Mountain View and attended school at Carnegie. She had three children: Isaiah, Navaya and Lexi. She was no stranger to anyone, and always made a friend everywhere she went.
Jerri had a special gift for creativity and a love for all things unique, especially music. She had an incredible talent for making something beautiful out of nothing, always able to see potential where others might not. Those who knew her were constantly amazed by her imagination and her passion for crafting and creating. Her vibrant spirit and unique perspective on life will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children: Isaiah Guervara, Lawton, OK, Navaya Guervara, Lawton, OK, Lexi Guervara, Lawton, OK and Maddie DeAngelo, Carnegie, OK; her mother, C. Chili “Chili Girl” Ybarra, Lawton, OK; brother, An-Tony Chahsenah, Lawton, OK; aunts, Alys Supernaw, Binger, OK, Carla Davis, Carnegie, OK, Sandy and Darrell Williams, Carnegie, OK, Jacklyn Koomsa, Oklahoma City, OK, Gina Gallegos, Anjeanette Zamacoma; uncle, Jeff Hull Ybarra, Frank Ybarra, Jr. and James “Jim Bob” Koomsa. She is also survived by the father of children, Gage Guevara, Clinton, OK; her grandmother, Margie Highm and a host of other family and friends
She was preceded in death by her father, Buddy Huerta, Sr.; great-grandparents, William and Henrietta Koomsa, Annie Belle Koomsa; uncles, Cletus Koomsa, Lee Black, infant Jerry Koomsa; aunts, Melda Mae, Melva Mary Koomsa, Frank Tafur Koomsa, Thelma High Pahcheka, Beulah Zaotigh Hall, Charlie Tanequoodle Redbird, Charlie and Ruby Redbird High, Moses Tineyah, Josie Starr, Saondo “Bondo” Yabarra, Carmen Jo Ybarra, Sophie Ybarra, Eva “Vino” High, Carol Jane McKinney and Frieda Rae High.
Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Cedar Creek United Methodist Church in Carnegie, OK. Visitation was from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home in Carnegie, OK.
A Wake was held at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Cedar Creek United Methodist Church in Carnegie, OK.
Interment was in the High Family Cemetery in Fort Cobb, OK.
Services were under the direction of Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home in Carnegie, OK.
