February 12, 2025

Kenneth Leon Parr, Jr., 64, of Russellville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025.
Leon was born May 3, 1960, in Galveston, Texas. He grew up near Carnegie, Oklahoma, and was a 1979 graduate of Fort Cobb High School. If he wasn't skipping school to run around with buddies, he was spending time on the farm with his grandparents, Lorin Leon and Lola Mae Parr.
On December 28, 2001, he was married to Rita Davis in Centertown, Missouri.
Leon's love of the outdoors was lifelong. He was happiest when he could be hunting deer, coon, coyote, squirrel, birds, but the highlight was killing his black bear in Alaska. He also enjoyed sitting on a pond dam or in a boat fishing, going to a race track or riding around with his German Shorthair Pointers in the back of the truck. Leon loved gardening, grilling, cooking on his smoker and was a talented craftsman. He could run and maintain anything with a motor making a living hauling cattle and fuel, running heavy equipment and in retirement, mowing at Railwood Golf Course.
In addition to his wife, Leon is survived by a daughter, Nichole (Ryan) Clark; a son, Nicholas (Haley) Parr; grandchildren Garrett (Bryanna), Ganden and Grace Clark, Brody, Zayn and Maison Parr, Brayden Harrison; his mother, Doris Cook; brother, Greg Parr; sister, Penny (Gary) Bowles; mother and father-in-law, Frances and Bill Davis brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony, Jerry, Sandy and Jeanine Davis; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of great friends. The shop was always open.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Leon Parr; grandparents; a brother-in-law, Mike Davis; and a niece, Alicia Davis Boessen.
An open house was held at Railwood Golf Course Clubhouse, Holts Summit, Missouri, from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, February 8. Family and friends are welcome to attend a small service at the home of Greg Parr in Oklahoma at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, with a luncheon and fellowship following at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Carnegie.
In lieu of gifts and flowers, memorials are suggested to Outdoor Defiance, an organization committed to supporting youth in hunting and fishing and wildlife preservation.
Services were entrusted to Trimble Funeral Homes, Russellville, MO. trimblefunerals.com.
