Chiquita Lynn Petross, 63, of Fort Cobb, was born on October 23, 1961, to Donna Kay and Melvin Morris. Chiquita passed away on June 6, 2025, in her home in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.
Chiquita was known by most as “Chilo” or “Mame” and was known for having a big heart and loving her family and friends with all of her heart. She was always there when we needed her whether it be a place to lay our head or a shoulder to cry on, she always showed up. Not only was she there for the people she loved, but she was not afraid to tell us when we are wrong. She may have been small, but was never afraid to speak her mind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donna Kay and Melvin Morris; her husband, Eddie Petross; son, John Petross; sisters, Kelly and Shannon Morris, and brother, Wade Morris.
She is survived by her twin brother, John and wife Brenda Morris; sister, Brenda and husband Robert McGuire; sons, Justin and wife Candra Petross, and Jesse Petross. Eddie Jo Brewer, and daughters, Leslie (Sis) Brewer, Chantel Petross, and Krista Petross. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Cheyenne, Creed, Shaydin, Havoc, Adisyn, Khaos, Jaydin, Jacob, Kylee, Trustin, Zane, Allie, Paige, Promise, Hailey, Steele, Slade, Dreyton; and great-grandchildren: Banner, Timberlynn, River-John, Emberlynn, Jodecy, Waylon, Toby, Kodiak, Rory, Reed, as well as by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was loved and cherished and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, OK.
Visitation was from 3-8 p.m., Sunday, June 8, 2025, and from 1-8 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2025, at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, OK.
Interment was in the Sappington Chapel Cemetery in Mountain View, OK.
Services were under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK.
