Emma Marie Hainta passed away with her family by her side on June 6, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK.
She was born on September 12, 1959, in Lawton, OK, to Joseph Taft (Chief) Hainta and Leona (Apekaum) Johnson.
Emma was raised in Carnegie, OK, by David and Emma Apekaum.
She was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe and held her heritage close to her heart throughout her life. Emma worked in press printing, where she ddicated many years of service with skill and diligence. Emma was a loving mother whose joy came from caring for others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by ex-husband, Clarence Morris; Life partner, Dale Clements; and daughter, Keeli Clements; as well as by her father Joseph Hainta, brother, Carl Hainta, and sisters, Indis Joy Botone and Doris Ann Hainta.
Survivors include: daughter, Andrea Morris, Norman, OK; son, Joshua Morris, Norman, OK; mother, Leona Johnson, Norman, OK; three sisters: Jennifer Pena, Wichita Falls, TX, Ella M. Merrell , Norman, OK, and Betty Lucille Smith, Memphis, TX. She is also survived by two brothers, Marion Milton Tohey Jr, Lawton, OK, and Harry Hainta, Carnegie, OK, as well as a host of cousins.
