Carol Lea Mahan

Carol Lea Mahan passed away on August 4, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on December 25, 1962, in Anadarko, OK, to Bobby and Kay Hendricks.
Carol grew up in Fort Cobb and graduated from Oney High School in 1981. On July 22, 1988, she married the love of her life, Ryan Mahan. Together, they built their home in Fort Cobb and were blessed with their son, Brayden. Carol worked at Discovery Daycare for 10 years before beginning a 22-year career at Sunset Elementary School, where she retired. Carol had a love for shopping with her sisters, and love for antique quilts, cooking and trying new recipes, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and being a Lolli to her grandchildren.
A devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Cobb, Carol planted many seeds by sharing the Word of Jesus to all people she came in contact with, Carol touched many lives in her life.
Survivors include her husband, Ryan Mahan, Fort Cobb, OK; son, Brayden Mahan and wife Payge, Cyril, OK; grandchildren: Teagan and Greyson Mahan, Cyril, OK; mother, Kay Hendricks, Fort Cobb, OK; sisters, Debbie Clift and husband, Ted, Fort Cobb, OK; Cheryl Walker and husband, Robert, Weatherford, OK; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Hendricks; grandparents, George and Willie Hendricks, and Claude and Hazel Smith; and mother and father-in-law, Eddie and Nathalie Mahan.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Fort Cobb, OK. Visitation was from 1-8 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2025, and from 1-8 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2025, at Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home in Anadarko, OK.
Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Cobb, OK.
Services were under the direction of Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home, Anadarko, OK.
